Bubbles of Thursday - Pause

Some days ask us to move. Some ask us to pause and understand what is moving within us. Today, we're asking a slightly different question;

“What is asking for my reflection, what needs to be held, and what am I ready to relieve?”

We've taken one card from each of three decks, and interestingly, all three carry Major Arcana energy. That gives today's reading a stronger focus on the larger themes of balance, strength, wisdom, completion, and the way we relate to ourselves while moving through change. The Hindu symbolism in the Major Arcana adds another layer to the conversation, while the accompanying cards help bring these bigger ideas into everyday life.

Choose the set that naturally draws your attention...

Option 1: Temperance, Ardhanarishwara + Wheel of Fortune + Judgement

The Card Focus: Balance While the Wheel Turns

This combination asks for patience. Temperance, represented through Ardhanarishwara, brings attention to the experience of holding two seemingly different sides of ourselves. The Wheel of Fortune reminds us that life is continuously moving, while Judgement invites reflection and a deeper awareness of what these changes are teaching us. Seeing both sides of yourself is not confusion. It can be a blessing. We can be ambitious and tired, emotional and logical, independent and deeply connected to others. The elevation comes when we stop treating these parts as contradictions and learn to let them coexist. What needs to be held is the awareness of your complexity. What needs to be relieved is the urgency to immediately choose one side.

How to manage time?

Let the situation breathe. Don't force a decision simply because uncertainty feels uncomfortable. Give yourself integration time; if two parts of you want different things, allow yourself to understand both before choosing.

How to manage space?

Create spaces for both sides of you. Keep room for work and rest, solitude and connection, planning and spontaneity. Don't overcrowd your day, a little empty space can help you notice what your mind is actually trying to tell you.

How to manage energy?

Stop treating contradiction as conflict. You can want achievement and peace, independence and connection, logic and emotion. Observe before correcting. Notice which side of yourself is speaking before deciding which one should win. Practise patience with your own transformation. You don't have to become balanced overnight. Balance is something you keep adjusting.

You are considering an opportunity that looks excellent professionally but requires a lifestyle you aren't sure you want. Instead of immediately asking “Should I take it or reject it?”, ask, “What does the ambitious part of me want? What does the peaceful part of me need?”. You may discover that the real decision isn't between the two; it is about finding a way to honour both.

💬 Bubble of the day

“I can hold two truths at once. I don't need to rush the balance; I can let understanding arrive in its own time.”

Option 2: Strength, Bhima + Ace of Pentacles + The World

The Card Focus: Strength That Builds

This combination speaks of a quieter kind of strength. Strength, represented through Bhima, brings the idea of inner and outer resilience. The Ace of Pentacles brings the conversation into the physical world; resources, work, money, health, and opportunity, while The World asks us to step back and see the larger picture. There may be a shift in perception required here, what does wealth actually look like to you? Comparison can make even abundance feel like scarcity. Someone else's salary, lifestyle, title, home, business, or pace can become the measuring stick through which we decide whether our own life is enough. But wealth can also be time, health, knowledge, meaningful relationships, freedom, peace, skills, creativity, or the ability to help someone else. What needs to be held is your own definition of a meaningful life. What needs to be relieved is the illusion that someone else's measurement can define yours.

How to manage time?

Invest rather than compete. Put your time into skills, relationships, health, and work that compound over time. Track your own progress, review what has improved since the beginning of the year instead of measuring yourself against someone else's timeline.

How to manage space?

Know what you have. Before buying, subscribing, or adding something new, check whether there is something you already own that serves the same purpose; instead of constantly looking for newer alternatives. An organised physical environment makes it easier to see what is genuinely missing and what you already have in abundance.

How to manage energy?

Protect your attention from comparison. Other people's milestones are information, not instructions for your life.

Define wealth personally. Ask yourself what “enough” means in terms of money, time, health, freedom, learning, relationships, and contribution. Let strength become quiet, you don't need to constantly demonstrate how capable you are.

Someone in your field appears to be achieving much more than you. Instead of immediately feeling behind, you look at your own life and ask, “What am I actually trying to build?” Maybe your definition of success includes autonomy, financial stability, creative freedom, or time with family. Suddenly, someone else's scoreboard becomes much less relevant.

💬 Bubble of the day

“My life doesn't need to look richer to others to feel richer to me. I choose what is truly worth building.”

Option 3: The Hierophant, Atman + Five of Cups + The World

The Card Focus: Keep the Wisdom, Relieve the Weight

This combination turns the attention toward faith, inner understanding, emotional honesty, and our relationship with the physical world. The Hierophant, represented through Atman, brings a deeper inward perspective. The Five of Cups highlights emotions we may avoid or remain attached to, while The World asks us to step back and see life as a complete composition rather than through one moment alone. Sometimes we hold so tightly to what is physical, immediate, and visible that we lose touch with everything beyond the present moment. And sometimes faith itself can become something we intellectually hold onto while emotionally avoiding the very feelings that need to be experienced.

The invitation is not to deny the physical world. It is to recognise that it is one part of a much larger whole. Let emotions be felt. Let faith become lived rather than merely believed. Let endings exist without making them the entire definition of life.

What needs to be held is connection to something larger than the immediate moment. What needs to be relieved is attachment to the idea that everything must remain exactly as it is for life to remain meaningful.

How to manage time?

Don't rush yourself out of a feeling. Give disappointment enough time to be felt without allowing it to become your permanent address. Zoom out occasionally, ask, “Will I see this moment the same way a year from now?”

How to manage space?

Create a space for stillness. Give yourself somewhere to pray, meditate, journal, reflect, or simply sit quietly.

Stay grounded in the physical world; eat properly, sleep, walk, work, create, and take care of ordinary responsibilities while processing deeper emotions.

How to manage energy?

Let faith include feeling. You don't have to suppress sadness, anger, grief, or confusion to remain connected to your faith. Release the need to preserve everything. Some things can end, change form, or move away without making your life incomplete.

You receive an opportunity that is exciting, though it doesn't work out in the form you initially imagined. Instead of seeing it as a loss, take a moment to appreciate what it opened up in you; new skills, confidence, connections, or clarity about what you actually want. Keep the useful parts, stay connected to the people you met, and use what you've learned to shape your next step. Sometimes moving forward isn't about replacing what didn't happen; it's about carrying its best parts into what comes next.

💬 Bubble of the day

“I let every experience become wisdom, every ending become perspective, and every new beginning find me ready.”

🎵 Tarot song suggestion,

Alice Merton - No Roots
